1. Bag of Belly Beans

Want to be the sweetest person at the HYP Halloween party?! Come as a bag of jelly beans and you’ll be the sweetest one of the bunch!

What you need to do: Get a clear trash bag, cut holes for your arms and legs to fit through. Print the nutritional facts on the back of the costume, just like what you see on the backs of candy bags. Fill up the bag with colored balloons for the jellybeans, and tie up the trash bag near your neck with a ribbon.

2. Nerd

Throwback to your college days where you studied your butt off to get to where you are now.  Wasn’t a nerd in college?  No worries, you can pretend.

What you need to do: Wear a pair of glasses and stick a bandage in the middle to heighten the geek effect. Wear suspenders if you have them, or pull your pants or skirt up high and tuck your shirt into into it. Remember to wear dowdy and very unsexy clothes. Putting pens and a calculator in your shirt pockets helps as well. Carry around several academic books.

3. Waldo and Wenda

Who doesn’t remember the Waldo books growing up?   Come dressed as Waldo and see if people can spot you in the crowd. What's great about this costume is there can never be too many Waldos and Wendas. The more the merrier!

What you need to do: Get a red- and white-striped shirt, red and white cap, black- and round-rimmed glasses, and a pair of jeans. Wenda's glasses are a little more triangular, and she also wears red- and white-striped socks, along with a denim skirt.

4. Home Improvement's Wilson

Throwback to the '90s! This is such a clever costume that's really easy and affordable to make. Just a warning: you may end up giving advice all night.

What you need to do: Get popsicle sticks to make the fence, beige floppy hat, and a brown plaid shiry

5. Garden Gnome

Dress up as a garden gnome, and look perfectly at ease on any lawn.

What you need to do: Get a baby blue long-sleeved shirt, brown belt, dark denim jeans, and red felt and cardboard to make the hat. You can make your beard a variety of ways using felt or even yarn.
