Meet the Hartsville Young Professionals-Murphy

My name is Murphy Monk.

My hometown is Lamar, SC.

At work I am the Member Liaison for the Greater Hartsville Chamber of Commerce.

I have lived in Hartsville for 3 months officially.

I left for 7 years while I attended Clemson University and then lived in Charleston, but I just had to get back to the small town life and my family.

You may not know that I am the biggest Clemson fan alive, I am about to become a mom in September, and I lived in Hawaii for a summer.

Three things you can always find in my refrigerator are condiments!!! (I like a little bit of food with my sauces), milk for my husband, and pasta.

My favorite Hartsville spots are Burry Bookstore, Minnie's Giftique, and any restaurant (I'm not a chef).

My favorite Hartsville food is anything at the Midnight Rooster.

On a weekend in Hartsville you can find me having brunch at the Rooster, shopping at one of the precious boutiques with my mom, or watching my husband play golf at Hartsville Country Club, and next summer I will probably be found at the Splash Pad chasing around a little wild woman!

On a weeknight in Hartsville you can find me grabbing dinner to take home and having a Netflix night on the couch!

I HYP because it is a great way to become friends with all of the new young faces in Hartsville.

I love Hartsville because it is home. I love how quaint Hartsville is and how you are greeted around every turn with a smiling face. I feel like it is the perfect place to raise my family!

A Hartsville hidden gem that many don't know about is D&S Subs.
