MEET JENNIFER EVANS
My name is Jennifer Evans.
My hometown is Columbia, SC.
I am the Owner/Interior Decorator for Manor South Design.
My house brought me to Hartsville.
In November I will have lived in Hartsville for 1 year.
You may not know that I'm an Interior Decorator, I have a 1.5 year old (and another on the way), and three dogs.
Three things you can always find in my refrigerator are pickles/peppers, milk, and apple juice.
My favorite Hartsville spot is currently anywhere downtown! I am still exploring and learning the area.
My favorite Hartsville food is a burger or hotdog at Ruth's!
On a weekend in Hartsville you can find me working on our 106-year-old house, or spending time with my husband and our sweet, busy toddler.
On a weeknight in Hartsville you can find me sitting on the couch with my husband watching our latest Netflix find!
I have yet to make it to any HYP events, but I can't wait to start so that I can meet new people my age in the Hartsville area!
I love Hartsville because it's an extremely close-knit community. My husband and I moved our family to Hartsville from Columbia in November of 2016. Most people thought we had lost our minds. They asked us, "Why in the world would you want to move to such a small town?!" For one, our house brought us here. Honestly. We always wanted an older home, and we found the perfect one for us right here in Hartsville. But since moving here, we've fallen completely in love with the quaintness of it all. You can get anywhere in five minutes. You see familiar faces every single day, and usually the same ones. Everybody know's everybody's name. Small business is thriving. People genuinely love and care for each other. Plus, my husband grew up here, so it's been fun to watch him relive his old stomping grounds as an adult. We look forward to raising our children (and dogs) here!
A Hartsville hidden gem that many don't know about is definitely Ruth's Drive In, though I think most people probably know about it-HAHA. It's my favorite, and delicious! Also, Sugar Rush- if you haven't gone, GO!
