Meet the Hartsville Young Professionals-Andrea

My name is Andrea Kiester.

My hometown is Ann Arbor, Michigan - Go Blue!

At work I recently started a new position in the Government and Community Relations group at Duke Energy. I have the opportunity to do what I love, bring positive energy to our communities to help them continue to grow.

Work and family brought me to Hartsville.

I have lived in Hartsville for 4 years.

You may not know that my eye sight is terrible and I’ve been wearing contacts since the third grade, I’m working to earn my Morgan Horse Show Judging License from the United States Equine Federation, and I was an extra in a movie.

Three things you can always find in my refrigerator are Muenster Cheese, Take out, Strawberries.

My favorite Hartsville food is Calamari at Sam Kendall’s.

On a weekend in Hartsville you can find me spending time with my boyfriend, enjoying brunch and shopping downtown, at the barn with my horse, Chip, or at One Church Hartsville.

On a weeknight in Hartsville you can find me somewhere…I’m rarely home on a weeknight!

I HYP because it gave me an opportunity to meet a lot of people that have had similar experiences moving to town and finding Hartsville is their new hometown.

I love Hartsville because of the people!

A Hartsville hidden gem that many don't know about is our non-profit community! We have so many passionate people doing amazing things to help our neighbors, check out Cypress Adventure, Boys and Girls Club of Hartsville, Carolina Kids, Trent Hill Center for Children and Families, Leslie’s Hope, Darlington County Habitat for Humanity, Pee Dee Coalition, Darlington County Humane Society and so many more.
