On Friday, February 7, 2014, The South Carolina Governor's School for Science & Mathematics’ (GSSM) students launched an ambitious 50-day campaign to raise $50,000 to supply one million meals through the organization Stop Hunger Now. This is an entirely student-led initiative; community support is essential to their success.
As part of the initiative, GSSM students, faculty and staff will host a Lowcountry Boil 6:00 p.m., March 8, 2014, at Burry Park on Cargill Way in Hartsville. Tickets will be $10 per person with all proceeds going toward the Stop Hunger Now campaign. To purchase tickets, visit www.scgssm.org/events.
You can still donate here if you can't attend.
